Hitachi- from the country that brought the world Fukushima
We feel very sad for the people of Japan who want to end nuclear energy whilst a potential new government and big business are desperate for it

No Fukushima at Oldbury

No to Fukushima at Shepperdine!

E-on World Cup Fiasco---Germans switch off our electricity!

Eon switch off the power on hundreds of Thornbury residents just 2 mins before the England Vs Slovenia world cup match

This is a story reported to us by one of our community

Hundreds of Thornbury residents had to miss the big match today courtesy of Eon central networks. "Just as we were all watching the pre-match national anthem the power went down" said one local resident. "We soon realised it was a power cut, Eon central networks helpline told us that hundreds of local homes were down and they had no clue how long it would take!" It all happened way to late for anyone to make alternative arrangements. Thank you Eon for their well timed power cut!

Our Comment

What happens on Sunday when we play Germany--If England score will  E-on in Dusseldorf switch off our or is it their electricity----It will be a test for energy security in England!!

Well E-on are always telling us if they dont get some sort of subsidy--the lights will go out...........Maybe this is part of the softening up process!!

Das mutter of Horizon is going a little too far this time.

Comments appreciated on this matter

  1. I was cut off too... we had loads of people at our house all gathered round the TV... the disappointment was unbelievable.... Cant help but suspect it was planned to wind us all up about the lights going out!!

  2. Sounds like a cheap ploy to persuade locals to give in on their struggle to fight Eons ridculously greedy plans!

  3. Bet Eon/Horizon didnt suffer a power cut in their plush Gloucester offices while they sat around their TV
