Thornbury's first EcoFair, organised by Sustainable Thornbury, held on
Saturday 22nd May 2010, was a huge success. Over 750 people came (plus the
123 stallholders and helpers), and saw lots of ways to be more
environment-friendly and still have a good time. The weather was a perfect,
hot, sunny May day, and there was a relaxed feeling of community. We were
entertained by wonderful local talent, and the children had a whale of a
time without buying anything or using electricity or batteries.
The 2010 EcoFair was a fun way for all ages to find out about eco-living and
the positive choices we can all make towards enjoying a low carbon future.
Good Energy attended from Wiltshire and emphasised the point that small energy companies and local communities can have a significant impact on keeping the lights on !
