We feel very sad for the people of Japan who want to end nuclear energy whilst a potential new government and big business are desperate for it

Samantha Stagg replies promptly to our request for dates!

Hi Reg

Thank you for your email - I am well thanks.

At present we have yet to agree specific dates for further Horizon Nuclear Power public meetings or drop-in sessions to be held later this year. As stated in the recent community newsletter, Horizon expect to be in a position to share further information on the cooling tower studies before the end of this year.

I appreciate that this doesn't really help with your diary planning, however it may be useful to know that when planning public events we do aim to avoid the school holiday dates for South Glos .

Please be assured that Horizon will give local people as much notice as possible for any forthcoming events once dates and venues are confirmed.

Kind regards

Samantha Stagg

Hi Samantha

How are you? Long time no see!

Can you please confirm when the next public meetings are planned by Horizon.

A number of the SANE group need to know as we have various things to plan for in the late Summer/Autumn.

Kind regards

  1. Dirty tactics in my view they said in March that they would let us know their decision on the cooling towers this summer... why the delay? Could it be because the NPS is being re-drafted and they dont want us all to know the truth until after the NPS re-consultation has been completed? Timed to avoid local outcry increasing at a critical time for them!
