We feel very sad for the people of Japan who want to end nuclear energy whilst a potential new government and big business are desperate for it

Flooding Issues at Shepperdine? Scholar needs help!

We have recently been contacted by Richard Sewell who is writing a dissertation for his M. Sc.  focussing on the Shepperdine site and the issues that flooding or tsunami may have on new nuclear build.

We want his study to be objective and balanced and ask on his behalf if you can help?

We have contacted several people for him, including Tim Proudler of E-on:-

Lets hope Tim and his cohorts in Gloucester can help Richard!

Hi Tim

Thanks for Horzons recent prompt reply to our questions.

I was wondering if you could help Richard get a view of how you plan to mitigate the potential flooding/tsunami risks of building a new nuclear power plant at Shepperdine.

Hello,
I am a MSc Environmental Planning student from Liverpool John Moores University . I am completing a dissertation which is focusing on how rising sea levels could effect nuclear power stations in the UK . Would it be at all possible to arrange a telephone interview with your organisation so that i can examine what procedures are being out it place to prevent flooding at the Oldbury site?
any information or contacts that you may be able to give me would be very much appreciated and an immense help.
i look forward to hearing from you soon.
kind regards

Richard Sewell
